These Terms & Conditions govern your use of this website and the basis on which medicolegal services are provided by Mr. Ravi Popat. By using this website or submitting an instruction, you agree to these terms. Formal instructions are subject to separate written terms of engagement agreed at the time of instruction.

1. Website Use

The content of this website is provided for general information only and does not constitute medical or legal advice. While every effort is made to ensure accuracy, no warranty is given as to the completeness or currency of the information provided.

2. Nature of Services

Mr. Ravi Popat provides independent medicolegal services, including expert reports and expert witness services, in the field of trauma and orthopaedic surgery. As an expert, his overriding duty is to the court, irrespective of the party by whom he is instructed or who pays his fees.

3. Instructions & Acceptance

Submission of an enquiry does not create a binding instruction. An instruction is accepted only once confirmed in writing. Acceptance is subject to availability, absence of conflict of interest, and agreement of fees and timescales.

• Instructions may be accepted from claimant, defendant, or as Single Joint Expert.
• The instructing party is responsible for providing complete and accurate records and documentation.
• We reserve the right to decline any instruction.

4. Fees & Payment

Fees are agreed at the outset of each instruction and are set out in the terms of engagement. Unless otherwise agreed, fees are payable by the instructing party in accordance with the agreed payment terms, regardless of the outcome of the case.

5. Reports & Compliance

All reports are prepared in accordance with Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) Part 35 and the relevant Practice Direction. Reports represent the independent professional opinion of Mr. Ravi Popat based on the information available at the time of preparation.

6. Confidentiality

All case materials and personal data are handled confidentially and in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection law.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, design, and graphics, is the property of Mr. Ravi Popat or its licensors and may not be reproduced without permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, no liability is accepted for any loss arising from reliance on the general information contained on this website. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

9. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
